Founding Attorney

I love the practice of immigration law. I know that my work helps other families to realize the same goals and dreams my immigrant parents held so dearly. This is in my blood.

Founding Attorney, Naureen F. Hyder, has been practicing law since 2007 when she was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. Following law school, she practiced at the law firm of McNees Wallace & Nurick in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania through 2009. She was a board member of the Junior Board of the YWCA of Harrisburg from 2008-2009. In 2010 she joined the Law Offices of Hyder & Overas in Richmond, Virginia, a full-service immigration law firm where she remained until 2015. Ms. Hyder was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2015.

Ms. Hyder is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the national, professional bar association for immigration attorneys. She is also very active in her community through volunteering at various immigration clinics in the Richmond area, serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Richmond and is also active with the Junior League of Richmond.

Ms. Hyder earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2007 from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. During law school, Ms. Hyder was a Public Interest Advocate for the Miller Center for Public Interest Advocacy, a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and a member of the Trial Team for the American Association for Justice.
