Attorney

I chose immigration law because it is equal parts challenging and rewarding. I also enjoy the opportunity to work with clients from all corners of our globe.

Jessica N. Wright joined Hyder Immigration Law as an associate attorney in 2017 after earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. During law school, Ms. Wright participated in the Pro Bono Immigration Clinic and the Education Rights Clinic. She was honored with the Public Interest Law Association's Pro Bono award upon graduation. Prior to law school, Ms. Wright earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia.

Ms. Wright is admitted to the Virginia Bar and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the RVA Community Fridges where she manages the legal and financial obligations of the nonprofit. Ms. Wright spends her time outside of work at the gym, traveling, cycling, writing and participating in mutual aid projects.
